There are multiply issues to be aware of when trying to insert a picture into a post.
Only files of less that 1000K which is 1 M can be loaded, this means that the picture size will need to be reduced.
Second when a file larger than 1 M is selected the software incorrectly reports the file type is incorrect, rather that reporting the file is too large. (Not very helpful). Most phone picture exceed this limit by 2 to 4 times.
On a mac the file can be reduced by using Preview, or possible email the picture to yourself and selecting the image size small or medium.
