Luckily a fellow sailor had the tool, but good to know a screwdriver could be used in future.

Yes you can do it with a screwdriver - just press down inside the triangular hole and yuo can slide it back. (Did it this way last week)

Hi
Im new to the class and have removed the jammer swivel block and have the new block and shoe ready to go in - but now find I need a special release tool. Is it possible to do this without the tool?
