One Way Air Valves

The laser has it at exactly this position and I have not heard about any issue there. I assume that this whole shall equalize pressure level inside and outside the boat, when different temperaturs (warm updside in colder water or in autumn sometimes even the other was round) occurs.

Therefor such a valve could not be optimal for this.

Just my thought, I have no deeper knowledge.

Having the air vent that is located under the foot strap at the front of the cockpit makes me nervous. At some point most boats will probably get a little water in them while being stored. Why not put a small one way air release valve similar to a coffee bag has on it? They make these valves as a sticker that would stick on right over this hole. Please see this link or google one way air valve sticker.

1) Would this be legal under current rules?
2) This may or may not last that long but I bet RS could get some made that would work great.
