Can one cut bottom mast section from a 9 to make it a 7

Thanks Peter, I certianly will not be doing that then. I have an extra 9 section, guess I'll hope to be trading for a 7 section. John

Hi John,
The RS Aero 9 lower mast has a much thicker wall thickness than the RS Aero 7 and has different bend characteristics. It certainly can not be done as Class legal equipment.
The RS Aero masts are incredibly robust. Have you broken yours and if so, how?

Could this be done an be class legal? Could be a way to re-purpose damaged lower mast section?
