Adding extra cleat on deck
Making a mod like that, to a one-design class, will undoubtedly have an effect on the value of the boat if/when you go to sell it on. Worth considering before drilling...

I would guess, that the compass mount point will not be designed to resist the forces of the outhaul. I would assume, that due to the light weight design of the Aeero nowhere will be a sufficient reinforcement for this force.
Maybe you find a way to fix the line at the mast or boom section, to avoid the forces on the hull. You can add a block into the boom to reduce the force to 50%. And yes, this is also not class legal.
Anyhow, it is not a nice solution.

For reasons best left unsaid, I want to change the outhaul to be on a single cleated line in the centre of the boat (like a laser). Is there anywhere on the deck (somewhere in the region of the kicker cleat) that is strong enough to fix a cleat? The compass mount point would be an obvious one.
Before anyone says, I suspect that it's not class legal, but I don't mind, I only club race in a mixed fleet an no one cares!
