10inch trailer wheels

I bought an Aero trailer from Tony Blackmore at Admiral Trailers as based in Devon near me & recommend it. Went for 10 inch wheels and extended lighting board arms. Trails nicely behind the car & reassuring to see the reflector on mudguards. Comes with legal full width lighting board and cable ready to hook up. Suggest:Remove lighting board arms when Aero off trailer to prevent trips & falls! They're a hazard. Spigots that lead Aero trolley into trailer not a great fit so you can either adjust or widen them using metal tube/ hammer or purchase slightly larger box sections & replace those. I've also added a large plastic washer to cut down rattle on the road base/ trolley clip. Finally, useful that the road base clip is fully adjustable so that trolley is a good fit. It's a well made trailer.

Personally I would now never go with any trailer with less than 12"wheels, pref 13" with a 75% plus profile. The dynamic laoding and stresses on the baot when being towed with an 8" wheel are about 3x higher than with a 13" wheel (profile dependant). More damage is doen toteh hidden structure of the boat in towing than on the water!! A larger wheel will have less rolling resistance and better ability to soak up road bumps etc. I also tie the baot down with one end of the ratchet strap attached to a loop of 10mm bungie elastic - this keeps the strap(s) tight but not too so and avoids over tightening or working loose. Latly look at your shocks? Most modern traielr are designed with 750 kg loading (Max uk unbreaked loading / weight) I have reduced mine to 350kg which tows much beter and again softens the ride for the boat.

Hi, we have an Aero trailer. They are Mersea trailers and come with either 8 or 10 inch wheels. For the newer trolleys (which are a bit longer than the original ones) it is the 250 - 275 trailer that you need. We take the trolley wheels off when going any distance as they are quite low to the ground and if you hit a pothole or go over a speed bump they hit the ground. Quite easy to take off but that is the trailer designed to fit the Aero
