I have one of the old style (low) trolleys. Fits fine on trailer base but doesn't engage to clip down at the front. I also just tie it at the front. Works fine.

Yes it does, I collected my Aero using my RS100 road base.  There is a potential problem though, the tabs on my road base did not engage with the trolley because they were not perfectly aligned (manufacturing issue, not a problem with the RS100).  So I tied the trolley to the roadbase which worked OK.
