Attaching lighting board 1

I've used something a bit easier which seems to work so far... On the trailer board top centre I put a right angled bracket with a fairly thin bolt facing downwards to go in the top gudgeon, and a bit of rope / elastic to go through the bottom gudgeon to hold the bolt down (and the trailer board in place). I have then fixed a long rope from one side of the trailer board, through the toe strap and back out to the othe side of the trailer board. This stops it tipping side to side. This rope also proves useful when trailing without the boat on the trailer! On the back of the trailer board I've used duct tape to fix some foam (surplus pipe lagging tube) so it doesn't damage the boat.

Attach the lightboard to a right angle bracket and attach the other arm of said bracket to a piece of wood. About 5" wide - orientate it so the wood sits across the back of the board and the board hangs down and and inch or so away from the transom. Tape some foam to the bits of the wood that touch the boat - ie both rear decks to cushion and then run a ratchet strap over the wood and around the back of the boat - Simple secure and non damaging.

ATTACHING LIGHTING BOARD Hi Do most people use a pintle bolted onto the board, if so what type or could it damage the spring in boat gudgeon? Is board tied on if so what to? or do you use the wide board on metal extensions provided with road trailer seems a bit flexi.
